The world is going through a tough time and this nightmare is far from over. But the show must go on and so should sports persons. They face the biggest challenge both mentally and physically to keep themselves going in this Pandemic.
The first challenge they face is to get back to shape after a long lockdown. Secondly their mental challenge , to get their sports skills back after a long break. It is more difficult in the game of cricket since it is a game of rhythm.
The biggest sporting event of India , IPL is going on after a lot of hard work and preparations . We saw many players out of shape already and the greats like Dhoni and Bumrah are struggling with their rhythm .
Yes, it is disappointing for many fans but they should know how hard it is for players to get back to their level best after a long break and perform in extreme pressure situations.
The fans should have patience and understand the ultimate challenge of sportspersons to entertain us in these tough times. Actually , we should be thankful to them to give us some entertainment in these tough times.
I hope not only cricketers but also all sports persons go through this mental and physical trauma successfully and get back to what they do best . The world is waiting for them to bring some kind of normality in this Pandemic and it may take some time to see our favorite players to show their masterclass .
After all, good things take time !
